Dear Fans, It is with great sadness the Billies announce that lead singer Angel Calnek has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumor and will be undergoing surgery on February 26 to hopefully remove a portion of it that has been causing her great facial pain for the last two years. We are optimistic about the surgery and hope this will enable her to eliminate medications that are greatly reducing her quality of life and get her back on board her beloved Billy train. This is devastating news especially as the Billies hoped to be releasing their second album which is now on the backburner although work still progresses but at a much slower pace. Slide Boy Sandmoen, who is producing and mixing the album has had to slow down with production to support his blues babe through this ordeal. We so appreciate your support of our music over the years...”if there
ain’t no audience, there just ain’t no show” (Chilliwack). We will keep you posted....Hillbilly Burlesque
